Chromatic Studio Limited transforms the way professionals think about interior design through hands-on courses in color theory and lighting design at our Causeway Bay studios.

Core Expertise Areas

We’re focused on two critical elements that define exceptional interior spaces. These aren’t theoretical concepts — they’re practical skills you’ll apply from day one.

Color Schemes

Understanding color psychology, harmony, and contrast. We teach you how colors interact in real spaces, not just theory. Psychological principles meet practical application.

Lighting Design

Layering light for ambiance and function. We show you how different lighting techniques create mood, highlight features, and enhance space. Hands-on work with actual lighting fixtures.

Integration

The real skill? Making color and light work together. We show you how to combine both elements to transform ordinary rooms into spaces people actually want to be in.

Our Teaching Philosophy

We’ve built our courses around one simple principle: you learn by doing. Theory matters, but we believe real understanding comes from working with actual materials, samples, and spaces.

How Our Workshops Work

Each course is structured to build your confidence and skills progressively. We don’t overwhelm you with jargon. Instead, we walk through each concept with real examples and immediate application.

1

Foundation

We start with the basics. Color wheel theory, color psychology, and how the human eye perceives light. These fundamentals matter because they inform every decision you’ll make later.

2

Hands-On Practice

You’ll work directly with color samples, paint swatches, fabric, and lighting fixtures. We’ve set up different room scenarios at our Causeway Bay studios so you can see how your choices affect actual spaces.

3

Real-World Application

You’ll tackle design challenges that professionals face. Small spaces, difficult client briefs, mixed lighting conditions. We don’t pretend everything’s easy — we teach you how to solve actual problems.

4

Feedback & Refinement

Our instructors review your work, ask tough questions, and help you refine your approach. This isn’t about getting it perfect — it’s about understanding your choices and learning to justify them.

Why Chromatic Studio Limited Exists

We started Chromatic Studio Limited because we saw a gap in interior design education. Most courses focus on software skills or general design principles. That’s useful, but it misses something fundamental — the specific, practical knowledge about color and light that actually transforms spaces.

We’re based in Causeway Bay because this location matters. Hong Kong’s diverse architectural styles, dense urban environment, and mix of residential and commercial spaces give us real scenarios to work with. Our students aren’t just learning theory in a classroom — they’re solving problems they’ll encounter in actual Hong Kong interiors.

What makes us different? We don’t separate color from light. We don’t treat them as academic subjects. We treat them as tools you need to master if you want to create spaces that work. Our instructors have backgrounds in actual design practice, not just teaching. They’ve faced real constraints, difficult clients, and material limitations. That experience shapes every workshop we run.

If you’re serious about understanding how color and light work together, you’re in the right place. We’re not here to make you an expert designer in eight weeks. We’re here to give you genuine, applicable knowledge that you can build on for years to come.
