Director of Design Education & Curriculum at Chromatic Studio Limited
Specializing in color psychology and spatial lighting design for residential and commercial interiors, with a focus on creating harmonious environments through chromatic theory and modern illumination techniques.
Victoria’s journey into interior design began during her undergraduate years at Hong Kong Polytechnic University, where she developed a particular fascination with how light and color influence human perception and mood. It wasn’t just about making spaces look beautiful — she wanted to understand the deeper psychology behind design choices.
After graduating in 2010, she spent eight years working with boutique design studios throughout Hong Kong and Shanghai, specializing in high-end residential projects where she refined her understanding of chromatic harmony and spatial psychology. Her work ranged from luxury apartments to corporate offices, but her passion remained consistent: creating environments where people feel genuinely better.
Victoria brings practical, industry-relevant knowledge across multiple design disciplines. Her teaching combines chromatic theory with contemporary design practices.
Understanding how different hues and saturation levels affect mood, perception, and behavior. She teaches students to make intentional color choices based on space function and desired emotional response.
Creating layered lighting schemes that balance ambient, task, and accent lighting. Victoria specializes in modern illumination techniques that enhance spatial perception and create dynamic environments.
Choosing sustainable materials that support design intent. Her approach integrates environmental responsibility with aesthetic and functional requirements for residential and commercial spaces.
Developing curriculum and teaching practical interior design skills. Victoria directs workshops and courses at Chromatic Studio Limited’s Causeway Bay studios, focusing on hands-on learning and real-world application.
Optimizing layouts for both function and flow. She teaches students how to work within constraints while maximizing visual impact through thoughtful spatial organization.
Creating cohesive design schemes where color, light, and materials work together. Her approach ensures that every element supports the overall design narrative.
Victoria’s teaching philosophy is grounded in a simple belief: color and lighting aren’t merely aesthetic choices. They’re powerful tools that shape how people experience and interact with their spaces. This isn’t theoretical — it’s deeply practical.
When she works with students, she doesn’t just show them color swatches or lighting fixtures. Instead, she challenges them to think about the people who’ll inhabit these spaces. What mood do they need? What activities happen there? How does natural light change throughout the day? These questions drive every decision.
Her workshops emphasize real-world application. You won’t spend hours on abstract theory — you’ll work with actual materials, test lighting combinations, and see how choices impact a space. She believes aspiring designers learn best by doing, making mistakes, and adjusting their approach based on immediate feedback.
“Color and light aren’t decorative additions — they’re the foundation of how a space makes people feel. When you understand this, you stop designing for aesthetics and start designing for human experience.”

At Chromatic Studio Limited’s Causeway Bay studios, Victoria directs the curriculum development for workshops and courses. She’s built a learning environment where theory meets practice, and where students gain hands-on experience in color schemes and lighting design.
The studio setting is intentional. Rather than classroom lectures, students work in actual design spaces where they can test color combinations under different lighting conditions, experiment with material pairings, and see how their choices impact the environment in real time. This approach ensures that what you learn translates directly to professional practice.
Victoria’s role extends beyond teaching individual workshops. She’s constantly updating curriculum to reflect industry trends, inviting guest practitioners to share their work, and building connections between students and design firms across Hong Kong and beyond. Her goal is simple: prepare the next generation of designers to create spaces where people genuinely want to be.
